Water-Based Digital Inks
Water-Based Digital Inks: Sustainability and High Fidelity for Industrial Inkjet Printing
Water-based digital inks represent the cutting-edge eco-friendly solution for the industrial graphics sector. Formulated with a primary water vehicle, high-stability soluble resins, and ultra-fine dispersed pigments, they ensure optimal performance in inkjet systems while drastically reducing Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions. They are the ideal choice for package customization, corrugated board, textile production, and high-definition signage.

Operational Advantages on Press
- Short-run cost efficiency: Total cost optimization for print-on-demand and custom jobs with zero changeover downtime.
- Printhead protection: Rheology and pH strictly controlled to minimize micro-nozzle clogging in industrial printheads.
- Low environmental impact: Low-VOC formulations delivering safer plant operation and suitability for sensitive packaging applications.
- Fast & adaptable drying: Balanced evaporation and absorption rates for seamless integration with hot-air and IR drying units.
- Substrate versatility: Exceptional adhesion on coated papers, paperboard, labels, and pretreated industrial textiles.
UV-Curable Digital Inks
UV-Curable Digital Inks: Instant Curing and Multi-Surface Versatility
UV-curable inks for digital printing are high-performance liquid formulations designed for inkjet systems and industrial digital technologies. Through a polymerization process activated by ultraviolet radiation (UV LED or mercury), these inks cure instantly without the need for thermal evaporation. Their advanced composition, based on oligomers, reactive monomers, and photoinitiators, guarantees exceptional adhesion and chromatic quality on a wide variety of substrates, both absorbent and non-porous (plastics, PVC, PET, glass, metal, paper, and cardboard). They are the ultimate solution for packaging, large format, industrial printing, and 3D object personalization.

Machine Operational Advantages
- Instant Curing: Immediate polymerization under UV lamps, eliminating drying times, preventing offsetting, and maximizing production speed.
- Superior Multi-Substrate Adhesion: Excellent anchorage on complex and non-porous materials, ensuring versatility without the need for multiple ink changeovers.
- High Physical-Chemical Resistance: Durable finishes with extraordinary resistance to scratching, abrasion, moisture, and industrial chemical agents.
- Optimized Elasticity (Flexible Series): Specific formulations like the PLT-724 series prevent cracking on foldable substrates, banners, and vinyls.
- Printhead Stability: Adapted viscosity (8-15 cP) that prevents nozzle clogging, ensuring constant flow and reducing maintenance downtime.
Digital Primers
Digital Primers: Surface Preparation for Industrial Inkjet Printing
Digital primers are conditioning coatings applied to the substrate before it passes under the print heads. Their job is to govern how ink is laid down and absorbed: they limit penetration into the fibre, speed up drying and raise both colour intensity and print definition. On porous supports such as corrugated board, where ink tends to spread and lose density, they make the difference between an acceptable result and true graphic quality. They are applied in line from a conventional coating unit, without adding a stage to the production process.
Operational Benefits on Press
- Absorption control: pigment stays at the surface instead of sinking into the fibre, giving more density and vibrancy for the same ink consumption.
- Faster drying: ink sets quickly, reducing set-off and marking during stacking or rewinding and allowing higher running speeds.
- Sharper detail: by containing dot spread, small text and fine screens come out clean.
- In-line application: metered from a flexographic or gravure coating unit, with no dedicated equipment and no extra pass.
