Jetcoat UVF-223: Primer for Digital Inkjet Printing on Corrugated Board
Jetcoat UVF-223 is a surface preparation primer formulated for digital inkjet printing lines running on corrugated board. It conditions the substrate before the print heads: it controls ink absorption, speeds up drying and raises both colour intensity and print definition. It is applied in line from a flexographic or gravure coating unit, which allows it to be integrated into the production process without an additional stage.
Operational Benefits on Press
- Faster drying: ink sets quickly on the treated board, reducing the risk of set-off and marking during stacking or rewinding.
- Higher colour intensity: by limiting ink penetration into the fibre, pigment stays at the surface and colour gains density and vibrancy.
- Sharper detail: controlled absorption reduces dot spread, producing cleaner text and screens.
- In-line application: metered from a conventional coating unit, with no dedicated equipment required.
