Antigrasa NOFAT 520: Grease and Oil Barrier Overprint Varnish

This flexographic overprint varnish is designed with cutting-edge technology to offer low-migration performance and create a highly effective barrier against fats and oils. It guarantees comprehensive packaging protection and strict compliance with food contact regulations. It is the ideal technical solution for applications where the fatty content of the product could compromise the structural and visual integrity of the packaging, maintaining safety and operational performance under demanding conditions. It is available in both water-based and UV-based formulations, adapting to the different processes and requirements of the converting industry.

Operational Advantages on Press

  • Exceptional barrier against fats and oils: Prevents penetration and staining on the substrate, preserving the appearance and mechanical strength of the packaging intact.
  • Guaranteed low migration: Its formulation has been chemically optimized to minimize the transfer of components to the food, ensuring maximum product safety.
  • Excellent inline processability: Features superior adhesion over inks and substrates, being fully compatible with downstream high-speed die-cutting, folding, and gluing processes.
  • Versatile protective finish: Significantly improves the rub resistance of the packaging and provides a glossy or matte aesthetic finish, depending on the selected version.
