CCC-23 Heat-Sealable Coating: Acrylic Sealing without Blocking for Paper
CCC-23 is a water-based acrylic coating developed to give heat-sealing capability to printed paper. It is applied from a flexographic press or a coater and activates its seal in the 120-130 °C range, forming a uniform, resistant closure. Its non-blocking behaviour allows the printed material to be rewound, stacked and handled without unwanted adhesion prior to the sealing process.
Operational Benefits on Press
- Reliable sealing on paper: uniform thermal activation at 120-130 °C across all paper types, with a consistent closure throughout the run.
- No blocking: prevents adhesion during rewinding, stacking and storage, reducing waste in converting.
- High resistance: maintains seal integrity through subsequent handling of the pack.
- Dual application route: compatible with both flexographic press and coater, making it easy to fit into different line configurations.
